NEW CLIENT: TMS2

We’ve very excited to have been commissioned by TMS2 to help define their marketing stratetgy and re-design their website.

Our first port of call is to set up a CRM system and to integrate with Mailchimp ready for a business development programme focusing on RDT (remote digital tachograph download) – driving to a refreshed website.  We’re looking at increasing sales conversion through direct mail and telesales activity.

NEW CLIENT: Buddy Burst

We’re bursting with excitement with this new client win.  Buddy Burst and its parent company Sow Easy have engaged chicken/egg to act as a marketing consultant/director.

Sow Easy® have been growing in the Gardening & Seed-based Promotions Market since 1983 and they manufacture a range of innovative sustainable gardening promotional products including promotional plants, branded plant pots and custom-printed seed packets.

Seedsticks™, their most popular product, was born from the 1940’s matchbook idea, each matchstick in the custom-printed matchbook book contains a seed. Just pop in soil to grow a matchstick garden – all manufactured in the UK which makes them quite a unique player in the marketplace.

Buddy Burst® sprouted up in 2016 and has already established itself as a key player in the promotional product space – as a business they are committed to helping brands grow in a sustainable way and every one of their eco-friendly promotional products are sustainably sourced.  Alongside the seed based products they can brand and personalise everything from bamboo travel mugs to biodegradable ponchos.

This is definitely a company to watch and we’re really chuffed to be part of their growth plans.

NEW CLIENT: VRP Consulting

After a competitive tender we were really excited to be awarded the VRP Consulting account.

VRP Consulting are a global full-service Salesforce consulting, development and outsourcing partner delivering across the entire Salesforce platform. With over 500 people, across 12 offices in 8 countries, they think globally but deliver locally.

They are ready to take that next step with their brand and they’ve tasked chicken/egg with re-defining their brand proposition and translating this across to a new website design.

We’re already underway with a stakeholder brand exercise which, delivered via a two-part questionnaire, will help us to define the creative brief for the studio.  Plus our analysis will allow us to develop a strong set of guidelines including TOV and brand values.

With the key players spanning the globe it’s an international team effort!

15? How did that happen!?

We’re about to turn 15 … When I started chicken/egg back in 2004 I was predominantly supporting other agencies as a Pitch Doctor and helping them with their employee engagement. Fast forward four years and we’d evolved to become a stand-alone agency supporting clients with their marketing planning and design.

My business model was quite unique (bringing together collaboration through freelance/consultant teams) but fast forward again and it’s becoming pretty mainstream and lots of agencies operate in this fluid and cost effective way. That actually makes me feel confident that I’ve created a strong business that can continue to grow.

I might be the Chief Chicken but my eggscellent (there had to be pun in this status!) coop of designers, writers, digital specialists, social & PR experts, videographers, photographers, developers have made chicken/egg the agency that I love running!

What a rewarding campaign!

Owning it since 2004 ...

 

Really can’t quite believe that chicken/egg was hatched 14 years ago today!  Massive thanks to all clients (new and old), suppliers, colleagues, friends and family who have supported us over the years.  We’ll be drinking champagne later … even though it’s a Monday!

When a great idea goes 'wrong' ...

We’ve always admired Lush and we know that their current campaign has the best intentions at heart but unfortunately the execution has led to them having to explain what their creative means and, we believe, they’re actually removing the campaign from their window displays.

Now there is always that old adage that all publicity is good publicity and although they’ve been hit with negative tweet after negative news coverage the story is everywhere so have they actually played right into our hands.

We're talking branding ...

Today was all about branding.

We love creating something from scratch but equally we love the challenge of taking an established brand and giving it a face-lift.

SQS have tasked us with giving their works management system a re-brand … first step, getting every involved with a workshop!
